Things to do in Vegas if You're Under 21

Updated: May 6, 2019

When most people think of Vegas, the image that comes to mind is usually one of people indulging in excessive amounts of alcohol or gambling their money away in a casino. However, there are plenty of things to do in Vegas if you’re under 21, or just not a fan of drinking.

Hotel Hopping

There are many hotels lining the Strip and there are plenty of things to see and do within those hotels. The hotels themselves are fun to look at and explore because each one has a unique theme and set up. For instance, The Venetian is designed after Italy on the inside and outside and even offer gondola rides. Paris hotel looks like the streets of Paris and feature many French themed restaurants, including one inside the “Eiffel Tower.”

Shopping

Vegas also offers plenty of opportunities to go shopping. The Fashion Show Mall is located right across Treasure Island and offers many stores to choose from such as Forever 21, Macy’s, etc. Many of the hotels along the strip also house a variety of stores to browse through while walking. The Shoppes at Cesar’s Palace for instance, have a large array of high end stores.

See a show

There are plenty of shows and concerts in Vegas that are appropriate for everybody. Those who enjoy seeing acrobatics and intricate productions will definitely enjoy any Cirque du Soleil show. They have several shows currently running and people of any age are welcome to watch. Don’t forget to keep your eye out for different concerts as well since bands and performers often have shows in Las Vegas.

Buffets

Let’s not forget one of the popular attractions in Vegas: the buffets. There are many amazing buffets and food options in general. Many people go to Vegas for vacation and what better way to spoil yourself than eating as much food as you possibly can. Buffets are very popular and can sometimes have a long wait however, so make sure to get there early. Some of the most popular buffets are the Bacchanal at Cesar’s palace and the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan.

Relax by the Pool

What better way to end your day than by relaxing by the pool? Las Vegas hotels have some of the most extravagant pools and you can spend hours there. It’s always free entrance to the pool of the hotel you’re staying at or if you want to check out another hotel, you can always go for a small fee. Mandalay Bay and MGM have large pools with a lazy river and a wave pool.

Action/Fun

For those who are looking for a more intense adventure, there is the High Roller behind the Linq. It’s a 550-foot tall Ferris Wheel which is currently the largest in the world. It takes you on a 30 minute ride which offers a nice view of the Las Vegas strip. There is also the Stratosphere which has an observation deck and offers several thrill rides such as the sky jump where you leap off the Tower from 829 feet.
